Do professional bloggers exist in Spain or are they just a myth?

Post by Abdur12 »

You may have already heard of the heroic figure of the professional blogger. Let's see if they really exist and if so, how you can become one of them.

You might think they don't exist. Professional bloggers, I mean. That's probably because you don't know any. They are people who have accomplished something incredibly difficult. They are able to make a living from their blog .

What does that mean exactly? Living off a blog?

The definition for me is simple. This blogger is able to dedicate himself exclusively to blogging by maintaining one or more blogs. People who set up affiliate sites to earn money with it are not professional japan phone number example bloggers for me even if they can make a living from their online projects. Many of these really good marketers usually don't waste time sharing what they know on a blog.

One of my international references since I started is the Australian Darren Rowse . In the Spanish-speaking world I really like the work of Juan Diego Polo from Wwwhatsnew or Javier Martín from Loogic . There are many more but I can identify more with them than with the fashion egobloggers.

Juan Diego Polo's “recipe” from Wwwhatsnew
Taking advantage of the fact that Juan Diego Polo gave a talk about the recipe for living from his blog, I am sharing with you some of his lessons learned. For the entire talk, I leave you with the full video. At the time he gave the talk, he was earning 74,000 euros a year with his blog .

I must admit that Diego's work is admirable . He spends an average of 4 hours a day answering emails from his readers. He receives 400 emails a day. He says that he and his 6 editors spend 3 hours a day writing and the remaining 18 hours are spent dealing with readers.

I couldn't agree more with this sentence:

“Only when there is passion inside, you will be able to make a long-term business out of it. If there is no passion, in the end the existing work will be so great that you will end up throwing it all away.”

If you look closely, he doesn't talk much about SEO. He focuses on what is most important: his users. The first 3 years he hasn't even earned a single cent (in my case, the same thing, by the way) to create a community around the blog .
