4 tricks to get more out of your blog thanks to your Twitter account
Twitter is my main source of traffic. It currently journalist email database accounts for 30-40% of all blog visits. When a post or several posts get a lot of retweets, they can easily reach 2,000 visits from Twitter alone. It's not just about getting traffic spikes. The art is about generating recurring traffic.
1. You get comments on your posts : Most of the comments come from Twitter. If you ask a question or ask for other users' opinions in a tweet, there are always some Twitter users who respond to you via the comments on the post. With a WordPress plugin you can optionally send notifications whenever there is a new reply to the people who have commented. People come back to the blog to see how the conversation is progressing.
2. It gives you ideas for new posts : When you feel uninspired, you can ask your followers for suggestions for new ideas. Aside from getting ideas for new posts, you get a second benefit. If you allow a popular vote between several ideas, you get those topics that arouse the most interest. At the same time, you create expectations by awakening greater interest in your blog by generating visits to see if the post has already been published.
3. You can better fight your trolls : I had a case where I was attacked because, apart from being a start-up entrepreneur, I also have other passions such as blogging or running marathons. The “argument” was that I was neglecting the company and neglecting responsibility for my employees. I posted the comment and then tweeted, asking my followers if the criticism was justified. Within minutes I had a dozen tweets and comments in my defense. The troll fled as quickly as he had arrived.
