How to motivate external authors to publish for free on your blog

Post by Abdur12 »

Getting a blogger or individual to publish a quality post on your blog adds an interesting variation to a blog. Readers often appreciate this because they get a different or more detailed point of view on a related topic that the main author usually covers. To attract quality bloggers and motivate them to be interested in publishing for you, you need to follow some basic tips.

I have been lucky enough to publish on several blogs or portals as an external author. These include the QDQ blog , Loogic or Puromarketing . In all cases I have done so without charging for it and I have even offered it proactively on some occasions. My main motivation has been the value generated for the creation of my personal brand .

I recently invited Javier Echaleku to participate in khmer phone number marketingguerrilla.es as an external author ( “7 tips for getting media coverage for your startup” ). Surprisingly, on the same day a potential client had read the post on my blog (which he had found via Twitter) and had mentioned it to him. With this small detail, I had already gained a significant advantage over all the alternative providers who had also applied.

This anecdote may be an exception. However, there are many points that can motivate bloggers to publish on a blog other than their own.

Getting blog coverage through your available channels : Once you've written and published your article, make sure you put all your promotional channels (Facebook, Twitter , etc.) in motion to promote it.

Promote the blogger via Twitter : you can announce the post on your blog a few days before and promote the blogger. Apart from his gratitude, you can get him some new followers .

Presenting the external author with a short description : With two or three sentences (in some cases even less) you can introduce the blogger to your readers. In this way you help him achieve indirect marketing and position himself as an expert among an audience that he would otherwise not have access to.
