Content team TEDxAmsterdam 2013 on the balcony of the Concertgebouw between the spotlights

Post by Bappy32 »

The team of photographers uploaded their photos to Flickr within 15 minutes . The photo editor then chooses what goes from private to public and that image is then available to everyone at the same time: our content team, the press and the rest of the world. As soon as photos are available, the blogger can put their article live and inform the editors. Yes, you read that right: we published first and then checked it. Because most articles are already written in draft before the biggest stress of the live moment, that had already been checked once.

By the way, there was no way we could have met in the Concertgebouw : with those world-famous acoustics, 1,000 people would have been able to follow our whispering about the title of a blog post with pinpoint clarity. We opted for a panama mobile phone number list secret Facebook group . There were 21 team members in it, and that allowed us to switch gears very quickly throughout the day, without producing any extra noise on top of the typing on all the keyboards.

Extra content: infographic for the 5th anniversary of TEDxAmsterdam
As a bonus, we created an infographic to celebrate the 5th anniversary of TEDxAmsterdam. The last part of this is about the Award winners. It was only on the day itself that we knew who, according to the professional jury, would win the prize and give a Talk on stage. We did not hear this much earlier than the audience, so the entire infographic could only be finished and published at the last minute. To work towards this highlight, we shared the infographic in 5 small pieces on social media and the site for 5 days.

Conclusion: what can you do with it?
The biggest secret to sharing ideas at a TEDx event is preparation: both the planning and the content of the content – so choose in advance what you will and will not talk about and leave room for spontaneous stories. Access to all sources is essential, especially the presentations and rehearsals – if you communicate from an organization, you should know everything. Personally, I like to be able to rely on experienced writers – working with independent professionals saves a lot of preparation time. And in exceptional cases, digital communication in a chat group sometimes wins over face-to-face consultation.
