An unprecedented survey has revealed the profile of the Human Resources leader in organizations from various sectors in Brazil, such as industry, services, commerce, technology and agribusiness. The study, entitled Profile of the Brazilian CHRO , was carried out jointly by the Brazilian Human Resources Association, São Paulo Section (ABRH-SP) and Saint Paul Business School, and presented at the CHRO Forum in São Paulo, one of the largest HR events in the country.
The study covers the work of professionals in medium and large companies, where 30% of the corporations where these leaders work have annual revenues of over R$10 billion and up to 5,000 employees. Among the executives surveyed, 53% know the business in which they work well and participate in over 80% of the companies' cameroon whatsapp data strategic decisions.
The survey also revealed that the demographic profile of HR leaders in Brazil is predominantly made up of women (53%), white (92%) and heterosexual (97%), with an average age of 48 years. “The study demonstrates the urgent need to increase the diversity of HR leaders from an ethnic-racial and LGBTQIA+ perspective,” says Luiz Drouet, president of ABRH-SP.
It is no surprise that diversity and inclusion were highlighted as priorities for the leaders participating in the survey in 2023. “These HR leaders believe that managing people requires a deep alignment with new social demands, the constant search for new practices and a profile that is open to new things,” notes André Nardy, head of Saint Paul Empresas and vice-rector of Corporate Education at Saint Paul Escola de Negócios. In the survey, issues such as social transformation, well-being, ESG and, above all, corporate culture, appear as key themes.
Growth prospects for 2023
For 43% of the study participants, the perception is that the year will see an increase in the number of employees working in corporations. In addition, the survey highlights that the challenges for this year include aligning and reconciling people, culture, business and results, participating more effectively in the companies' strategic agenda.
