The fourth step of the system is “the review”

Post by jrineakter »

If we see something only once, we forget it. It's completely normal, our brain is made like that, it's what we call the forgetting curve. If we see something and we don't see it again, we will forget it, unfortunately, that's how it is. I talked about it a lot in rule 2 of my free course " 7 rules for speaking French without blocking ", which I invite you to really follow, if you want to go further in your learning of French, I invite you to follow these 7 rules, the course has been 100% updated, you have a link in the description to follow it. I really invite you to do it, very very warmly.

And one of the big rules is to repeat, to listen to the same thing many times. The idea, for you, is to review what you have captured just before you need it. If, for example, you are developing your communication skills, well, before the next meeting, you are going to review your notes to try to apply as quickly as possible what you have learned. It is very important to do that.

So you have this one-time review phase right before you need it, but you have a systematic review phase. For me, in my personal system, I have my journal review every week and malaysia whatsapp number data every month. Every Friday, I go through all of my journal entries for the week, so I can review the things that I've learned. And I do it a little bit more intensely every month so I have different review phases.

The fifth step of the system, this is a key thing obviously, it is “practice”.

You have to apply what you learn. It literally solidifies everything you've seen and makes it real, makes it active. Take every opportunity to practice. Again, if you're learning communication skills, speak up whenever you can.

Actively try to think to yourself: How can I apply what I've learned? That will ingrain that knowledge and you'll have it with you forever. Apply it in your professional life, apply it in your personal life, and document your progress.

As you go along, as you practice, you're going to discover new problems or you're going to discover new things to do. The idea is to document maybe in the journal or in your learning system your progress.

Today I tested this concept, I got this result, next time I'm going to test this thing. Really, document your progress.

Sixth step of the system, “teach”, “share”.

We reinforce our learning by sharing and sharing here is something exceptional because you keep your knowledge and the person in front of you has it too. It is one of the only things we can share.

If I have a pen and I give it to you, I no longer have it, you have the pen. If I share knowledge with you, you acquire this knowledge, but I keep it. It is a sharing that allows things to multiply and for you, the great interest in sharing, in teaching, is that it reinforces your learning even more. Einstein said that if you cannot explain something, well that means that you have simply not understood it.

So if you teach, you will reinforce your learning even more, you will learn in an even deeper way.

And of course, we don't share to show off, to show that we know a lot of things, we share to help others, to help our friends, to help our family, to help our colleagues.
