80.4% of this time is spent using an app

Post by seonumberlist »

there were 22.4 million unique monthly users from mobile devices (50.9% of Italians)
Time spent online is approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes per person per day

73.3% of the total time spent online is generated by internet use, especially among women or young people
So, as we already explained , smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices have actually changed our way of living, allowing us to access information, whether it be news, games, videos or instant messages, mobile database more and more quickly and on the move. All this has obviously created strong competition and real challenges between the different apps in the app stores, just like it happens with the sites on the now “old” Google: the two most popular app stores (Google Play and Itunes) contain about 4 million apps, two years ago they were only half that…

Here are the two main challenges, as explained by @simonecinelli, mobile marketing expert.

First challenge: getting your application found
Positioning your app in the first search results in the store is essential. Like SEO for the web, App Store Optimization (ASO) is the basic activity that allows an app, before, during and after launch, to have the best visibility compared to the competition. It is the continuous optimization process of a mobile application, to position itself in the first search results of the dedicated stores. The goal of the ASO activity is to put the application in the optimal condition to compete on organic search, obtaining greater visibility on the store. This greater visibility translates into greater traffic on the application page and in fact in an increase in the probability that the app will then be downloaded and used for the first time.
