My 7 principles that I apply in every blog project

Post by Abdur12 »

I have learned my lessons over the past 8 years as a blogger. Mostly the failures have led me to apply 7 principles that I implement in every new blog.

I've been involved in the blogging world for 8 years now. In that time I've set up more than 20 blogs, most of which have been in German. 80% of them have not survived my experiments to go faster than allowed.

Even though I have had to find out about many of the blogs I have started, it has helped me learn my lessons.

Over time I have learned and I understand better what it takes to have a blog that is read. These are not new discoveries because most of them are based on common sense, which is sometimes difficult for us (myself included) to apply. I have touched on different aspects previously in the blog. In this post you will find 7 principles that I apply in each new blog that I launch.

1. Update your blog 50% more than other bloggers in your niche
I'm not telling you anything new when I say that a blog requires constant updating. At the end of 2011 I made the decision that this blog would be updated every day. To find the ideal number of posts for your own blog you have to analyze your context. A basic rule is to publish 50% more than others to stand out over time in your niche.

2. Focus on text-based content on your blog
A blog can be filled with different types of content. You can publish videos, podcasts, presentations, photos, infographics, etc. The type of content that has the lowest production cost is text. Ultimately, the best way to increase your chances of appearing in search engine results in the medium and long term is to create new pages that contain a minimum of 400 words.
