How to get on the front page of Reddit

We've been active on Reddit for a while now. We'll try to provide some tips on how to get to the front page of Reddit so you can try it out for yourself, if applicable.

1. Build your karma on Reddit
On Reddit, your karma is divided into “ after karma ” and “ comment karma .” These show how much engagement your content gets on Reddit. Before I submitted this post. We already had a few hundred posts and comments on karma.

What is post karma on Reddit?
Post karma is the total points (karma) you have accumulated for your posts on Reddit. You can earn points for upvoting your posts, and points can be deducted from downvoting your post. Together, b2b email list they create your total post karma on Reddit.

How to Build Your Karma on Reddit
Find subreddits you like, submit content you love, and comment on submitted posts.

It is crucial to engage in SubReddits and topics you love. Reddit is a place of highly engaged people. You can't just go to a SubReddit and discuss a topic you know nothing about. People will know, downvote your posts or comments, and potentially kick you off the Sub.

You'll have to do your homework and find topics and SubReddits that you love. You can simply Google [topic] + [(sub)reddit] or search for a topic within Reddit.

Click "Enter" and get a broader overview of SubReddits for that topic.

There is a subreddit on TED Talks for example with 59k readers. Submit your favorite TED talks and leave a comment about why you love them to get some initial Reddit karma points.

Here's a long list of subreddits related to the environment, sustainability, activism, etc. to get you started. And here's a list of social media and digital marketing subreddits .

2. Identify which subreddits in your domain are frequently voted on the Reddit front page
When you look at the front page of Reddit, you often see content from the same (50) subreddits present. Identify which subreddit you could use to your advantage before creating content. Subreddits that are often present on the front page are for example:

r/moderately interesting
r/aww
r/do it yourself
r/today I learned
r/Thoughts
r/Uplifting News
And many more. Find out which subreddits are relevant to you.

3. Create great content on a topic people like to talk about
Once you have built up some Reddit karma and identified which subreddits could help you get upvoted to the front page of Reddit, it is time to create some great content . This could be a video, text post, images, white paper , you name it.

The key to getting engagement is to create something that people on that subreddit are most likely to want to talk about and share their thoughts about. Content that is directly related to your product most likely won't cut it. But you could try. Find out what people are talking about on that subreddit to get a sense of the content and topics they are engaging with.

4. Focus on your post title
BuzzFeed was the king of creating catchy headlines for their posts . People clicked on the headlines A LOT. Now, most people understand the difference between "Click-bait" and truly interesting posts and headlines.
