How to split a long post into three short ones helps you get more followers and blog traffic

Creating series of articles is an effective technique to build loyalty, increase traffic and get new followers for your blog. At the same time, they solve part of the dilemma of whether I should publish long or short posts. In this post I explain how I do it in my series.

With the amount of information and the short time available, it is very difficult to convince the reader to spend more than 10 seconds on our blog. In fact, the decision to stay on a site or not is made in less than 1 second.
How to create series on blogs
A post should be designed in such a way as to prevent users from leaving. If you manage to get past the first second, the length of the post can be a criterion for whether or not they stay on the blog longer.
Short posts or long posts?
Short posts have a higher chance of being read from beginning to journalists email list end. They don’t “frighten” the visitor as much, who in most cases is looking for a quick result from their reading. It is possible to create content of less than 200 words that succeed , but for most of us (myself included) it is easier to say the same thing with more words than with fewer. Or as Goethe said to Schiller: “I write you a long letter because I don’t have the time to write you a short one (Ich schreibe dir einen langen Brief, weil ich keine Zeit habe einen kurzen zu schreiben).” On the other hand, search engines (not to mention Google) now like long posts more and penalize us if the percentage of short posts is too high.
Although I used to be convinced that short posts were better than long ones, I am no longer so sure. Long posts offer the possibility of explaining a subject in detail. They allow you to clarify a topic from beginning to end with the aim of giving a practically complete answer to the problem you want to solve. Longer posts are more likely to receive links, be saved in favorites or shared on social networks (at least in the case of this blog).
