Community Manager or Social Media Manager
They may seem like the same thing, but these two concepts refer to two different job positions. However, in many cases, the same person occupies them.

To begin with, you must analyse all the external aspects that may, in any way, influence the brand . This means: knowing the economic environment of the target audience and the political and social environment that may affect the company. You must also have in-depth knowledge of the sector, to the point of becoming a true expert in it. Likewise, you must take into account the competition, know how it communicates, what channels it uses, how it addresses its audience, who its audience is, what marketing strategies it follows, what type of campaigns it carries out and what results it obtains. The more information you gather, the more likely the communication plan you create will be successful.

On the other hand, it is essential to carry out an internal analysis that allows us to understand the current reality of the company , that is, from what point we start to build a brand identity.

It is also important to define the target audience , for which the buyer persona is very useful. This template allows you to create an imaginary archetype of the potential client that allows you to know them to the point of knowing where to find them and how to communicate with them.



Planning
With all the information gathered, the Social Media Manager must make the relevant decisions, define the objectives to be achieved, choose and devise the strategy to follow and plan the actions to be carried out.

Everything will be planned according to deadlines, because without establishing time frames, it would be impossible to determine the campaign as a success or a failure.



Monitoring
Throughout the duration of the campaign, the Social Media Manager must monitor it to ensure that the status of the campaign is known at all times. This will allow the strategy to be redirected if it is not working as it should.

If the defined strategy does not give the expected results, new actions can be established and, of course, what does work will be maintained and strengthened.
