framework of the state development corporation VEB.RF, created to implement complex projects for the development of the territory. It is the first state master developer at the federal level, considering projects for implementation in all regions of the country.

Marat Gaisin, head of the information modeling department at ProGorod, talks about the experience of implementing a domestic TIM system into a design framework.

"Our company's activities are aimed at developing the urban environment and improving the quality of life of people in the regions of Russia. Within the company, we develop concepts for future construction, evaluate sites where we can build residential and social facilities. After the projects go through the concept and budget stage, we select contractors that develop projects and working documentation.

: ProGorod's view
The company "ProGorod" started its work relatively recently, but is already actively implementing information technologies. The departure of international vendors was a challenge for projects, and sanctions forced the company to switch to domestic software.

In general, the introduction and subsequent effective use of TIM requires some time for retraining and recruiting qualified personnel. Small design organizations often have difficulty finding personnel without increasing labor costs, which can complicate the transition to TIM. The introduction of 3D design also requires purchasing software and setting up infrastructure. For some, this can be an obstacle to modern working methods. Perhaps this explains the small percentage of designers working in TIM and, as a result, the lack of understanding of what its main advantages are.

In turn, large developers value transparency and accuracy in expenses, and TIM helps them with this. Designers are sometimes limited to a vision of the object, without taking into account financial aspects. The TIM system is not only a tool for modeling and obtaining drawings. In essence, TIM is a way to create a digital twin of the object, a link in the chain of project development - from the concept to the commissioning permit, and even the period of subsequent operation.

Search for Russian solutions and choosing Renga
When moving to the domestic market, we considered products for our company, taking into account the following criteria:

Domestic product in the TIM sphere
Availability of collaboration opportunities
Possibility of developing the main sections of design documentation
Active user community
Based on these criteria, we chose Renga , a software that combines many sections. We were phone number italy especially attracted by the tools for developing the "Architectural Solutions" section.

I first encountered Renga before I started working at ProGorod — during the first course in BIM management, organized by Vysotskiy Consulting. Renga training was conducted as part of this course, and one of the models was assembled using this software.

However, the transition was a challenge. We had to master a new software environment and adapt to a new modeling methodology. Our department mainly deals with the concept of complex residential development, which reduces the requirements for modeling. Our strategy includes the creation of a full-fledged digital twin of the project. We developed a classifier, created library elements and apartment plans, set up connections and unloading volumes from the model. At the moment, at the concept stage, we are able to unload 80-90% of tender volumes for typical floors.

Benefits of working at Renga
The benefits of working in Renga include real-time collaboration ( note: implemented by Renga Software with grant support from the Russian Federal Agency for Information Technologies ), team building, and data systematization. Previously, when exchanging tasks and plans, discrepancies in data could arise due to different versions or untimely changes.
