Although podcasts are an entertainment channel that has been taking off in recent years, they have seen a boom after the lockdown caused by the pandemic, making them an alternative for Spaniards to enjoy some leisure time.
According to a study carried out by Spotify, 2021 will be the “big year” for podcasts. The streaming platform points out that podcast consumption in Spain increased by 25% during the first quarter of 2020 , while in Italy, a European country that began to impose earlier confinement measures, it increased by 29%.
