Or from the English “collaboration”, which is translated as cooperation, interaction, cooperation, joint activity. In the 1940s, the term had a negative connotation, as it meant collaboration with enemies. Nowadays, it is common to distinguish between the neutral word “collaboration,” which means working together, and “collaborationism.
