The easiest person to fool…

Post by jrineakter »

Hello, my dear friends! Welcome to this episode of Walk with Johan. It is always a great pleasure to meet you again for these episodes in which you accompany me during my little walk, during my little stroll. And today, we are going to talk once again about a subject of personal development.

For those who are new to us, Walk with Johan is authentic content. I have a few points, I know what we are going to talk about, but I speak spontaneously while walking and I help you practice your French while improving your life. That is my goal anyway. And that is what we have been trying to do for several years.

There are quite a few birds flying around and the weather is not great today. There are a few drops of rain and the birds are coming into the trees around me. I hope it doesn't rain too hard or it will mess up the weather. Hello, birds!

Anyway, before we get to the content... Today, we're going to talk a little about emotion and how our brain works, I'm going to share with you something I've learned in recent years regarding our ability to decide.

But before that, I would like to remind switzerland whatsapp number data you, if you haven't seen it, that we have updated the course "7 rules for speaking French without getting stuck". It is the free Authentic French course that I created in 2011. In 2011, I created a course on 7 rules, it was called "the 7 rules of Authentic French". This course is a video course of 7 rules, which I filmed again, which I redid in 2014.

And there, in 2023, we completely redid it, so with our new equipment, so it's a video quality that is professional, unlike what I had before. We revised the content a little, but really the ideas remain the same. We adapted rules 6 and 7 a little bit, but I really invite you to follow this course. So if you're starting out, really, follow this course because it's the bible of Authentic French, it's really our method explained over a week, it's a big, big job.

And if you looked at the old 7 rules, I really, really, really invite you to follow the new 7 rules, simply because they are, in my opinion, more pleasant, better done and perhaps better presented than the old ones. On the old ones, for example, there was nothing on the screen, so it was me who was talking. Here, on the new rules, we added some small animations, we added text. The idea is really to facilitate your understanding.

And since rule 2 encourages you to repeat, to watch the same content several times, I think it would be very smart for you to take the time to retake this course. So the idea is to go to www.francaisauthentique.com/cours-gratuit . There is a link in the description of this episode.

So I'm looking for a place, because I'm on a path, and since it's raining, I'd like to find some trees to shelter me and we're going to find that. And today, I wanted to talk to you about fooling yourself.

So what does "berner" mean? It's colloquial. So be careful, don't use this verb at work for example, it's colloquial language. And berner means to deceive someone. To deceive someone is to deceive them, to lie to them in order to gain an advantage.

For example, imagine, I want to buy a new car, I meet someone who says to me: "Here is my car. It is almost new. Look, it has only 10,000 kilometers. Everything works well. I really did all the maintenance. Everything is perfect". And you, you buy it. And after a week, you realize that there are lots of things wrong with the car and you say: I was fooled". That means I was cheated, I was lied to in order to gain an advantage. That is the meaning of the word "fool".
