Diverbloggers are the new retro generation of blogging

Post by Abdur12 »

Diverbloggers are here to conquer the blogging world. If you've never heard of them, I'll tell you how they differ from other bloggers.

The world's first blog turned 20 a couple of days ago. At just 4 years old, I'm a youngster in comparison. Although I sometimes feel like I'm already one of the dinosaurs in the blogging world, I'm not part of the first generation.

With 9 years of experience as a blogger, I am not an early japanese phone number adopter as they say. I am the visionaries, as Javier Megias calls them in an article on the subject. More than a visionary, I hallucinate from time to time, or that is the perception that some recent articles on this blog may generate.

What is a diverblogger?
If we look at the history of blogging, the pioneers have been geeky people. In this sense, it hasn't changed much, although we can see that most bloggers are more serious people talking about serious things. The blog was born as a diary and experiment to become a business tool. Along the way, it has lost part of its essence: fun.

The diverblogger recovers the origins of blogging and instead of being something really new it could even be considered retro. It is not nostalgia that motivates him but rather the motivation to want to do different things. To stand out from the grey mass of bloggers and be the purple blogger following the principles of Seth Godin's book . But it is not that either. It is not about following a marketing strategy. It is about having a good time writing and answering readers' comments.

The fact that they place a lot of emphasis on the fun factor doesn't mean that they aren't ambitious and disciplined. They've even created a community that helps take their blogs to the next level, organizing local beer-drinking meetups: Iron Blogger Spain .
