Avanade research shows the progress of digital transformation

Post by mdabuhasan »

Business decision makers expect to achieve a 17% return on investment (ROI) over the next 12 months by implementing digital transformation projects , according to a new study from Avanade, the leading digital innovator in the Microsoft ecosystem.

The research, conducted by Vanson Bourne on an international sample of business decision makers, provides insights into the potential impacts of digital transformation and the main areas of interaction in this field, including artificial intelligence, strategy, efficiency, customer experience and innovation.

It's clear that the success of companies in the digital age will be determined by three fundamental factors: innovation, pursued through the acquisition of skills and the shop integration of technologies; experience, offered to end customers and employees alike; and finally, efficiency, achieved by leveraging automation to streamline operational processes and focus resources on value-added processes.

On average, survey participants expect a 17% ROI from their digital transformation efforts. Most agree that transformation is no longer just about increased productivity through streamlined business processes, but also about continuous improvement through innovation in the processes themselves.

However, a portion of the sample declares that they are experiencing signs of “digital fatigue” , that is, they are facing a phase in which the efforts to implement the digital strategy are not yet translating into an economic return .

"Digital evolution processes can no longer ignore training, which must now be understood more broadly as a culture of change. That is, an innovative approach is needed: being open to new things, willing to experiment, and even prepared for some failure," adds Emiliano Rantucci, General Manager of Avanade . "On the one hand, we need to give more weight to cross-functional teams, as they ensure that problems are addressed with diverse perspectives and approaches. And on the other, we need to value diversity in the broadest sense, not just in terms of gender but also in terms of skills and approaches."
