It's NOT a virus: Whatsapp's green design change is disconcerting users

LWhatsApp users have been left in doubt after noticing a change in the WhatsApp interface : the dot that used to be blue next to the time of the last message received is now green. A change that, despite being very slight, has managed to cause concern among some users on social networks , especially on X, formerly Twitter , where questions have been raised as to whether this could be an indication of a possible virus or security problem in the application.

X (Twitter) users are wondering why their WhatsApp is green, and if it's a virus.
But there's no need to worry! WhatsApp's color change albania number data from blue to green is not the result of a virus , nor does it represent a security issue. In fact, it's part of a design update to the app's feature that allows you to mark conversations as unread.

What is the Green Dot on WhatsApp?
The green dot, now present next to the time of the last message received, is the same feature that makes managing messages in the app easier and that was previously blue. Instead of simply marking a message as read or unread, you can now mark an entire conversation as unread, allowing you to easily remember which chats you need to attend to later.

So, this is how the blue dot was displayed on the left, and now it will be displayed in green (on the right of the image)
