After watching a video, the chance that consumers will buy a product is 64% higher. And the time that visitors stay on your website is extended by two minutes if you use video. Just two facts that explain the great popularity of online video in recent years. That is why we spoke to Anthony Clifford in Inbound Marketing Talks last night. Because he makes online video and a special kind, explanimation videos.
What are explainer animations?
In short: explainer animations (for convenience we will continue to use that term) are videos that explain a certain idea or concept in less than two minutes. They can be used very broadly. For example, to explain how a product works or to convince your employees of a strategic change of course. To make it visual right away, you can see an explainer animation by Frankwatching below to draw attention to the concept of Webinars.
Explainer animations in an inbound marketing strategy
An important question was of course: how do you use this type of video in an inbound marketing strategy? The answer turns out to be simple. Just like many videos, explainer animations can be used in all phases of the inbound marketing process.
Attract
First, in the 'attract' phase. By placing your explainer videos on YouTube, you reach a whole new audience. YouTube is the number two search engine and therefore an ideal traffic norway telegram number list generator. And did you know that 59% of managers in companies prefer watching video to reading text, according to research by Forbes ? This means that you can score on YouTube with more than just practical videos.
Convert
Secondly, in the 'convert' phase, where you are going to convert those visitors into leads. With good explanation animations on your landing page, you are better able to retain and convince visitors. Visitors stay on your site an average of two minutes longer if you use video. More time to convince.
Close
In the third phase, the 'close' phase, you convince your prospects to buy from you. This can be done in person or online. And in both situations you can use explanatory animations to reinforce your product. On your website if you sell products online, but also in emails from your account managers after personal contact.
Delight
And also in the fourth phase ('delight') explainer animations are great to use. Certainly in the first months, when the customer is introduced to your product and team for the first time. For example, by helping with the first use of your service or product. But also later, when you want the customer to use or purchase more.

One last tip from Anthony: if you'd rather not host your videos on YouTube, Vimeo and Wistia are great alternatives. The latter in particular gives you a lot of customization options for your player, lets you generate leads within the video, and provides a wealth of data on viewing behavior.
