Video search with google

Post by Abdur14 »

Search with video
Among the new features presented is the possibility of uploading a video to perform a query on Google: “ Maybe you bought a record player at a second-hand store and when you go to use it you see that it doesn’t work because the metal piece that holds the needle moves erratically. Doing a search with a video saves you the time and trouble of finding the right words to describe the problem , and thus obtain an AI-generated summary of the steps and resources you need to solve it.”

«Web» filter
Aside from AI, another of the big new features announced for the search engine came from Google expert Danny Sullivan and his X Search Liaison account: “Ever since I joined Google, I’ve been a kid standing in front of the search group asking for a web filter. I’m so happy to see it’s here.”

This new “Web” filter will cause only text-based links bahamas number data to be displayed in search results, in the same way that you could previously choose to display other types of results, such as images or videos. So, with this “web” filtered display, users will only see links, avoiding rich snippets or images that currently appear at the top of search results, as you can see in this example:

The new filter will appear at the top of the results page alongside other filters or as part of a “More” option, rolling out globally today . According to the company, this new feature comes “after hearing from some that there are times when they would prefer to simply see links to web pages in their search results — for example, if they’re searching for longer-form text documents, are using a device with limited internet access, or those who simply prefer text-based results displayed separately from search functions.”

As you can see, all these new developments make the Google of the near future very different from the search engine created 25 years ago by Brin and Page at Stanford, when generative AI was still part of a science fiction future.
